Great Chart Kent Elizabeth was a beneficiary of both her parents
Wills. Although she was only 12 years old when her mother died she was left some of her
mothers clothes amongst other household articles. The Wills above should be read for
completion, but for convenience I have copied the relevant paragraph of Deborahs
Will. An Elizabeth Henham married David Oldfield in
Elham Kent on 29thJuly 1679. I know of no other Elizabeth Henhams in this time
scale, so I think it is safe to conclude that this is the same one. Spouse:

Great Chart Kent I have not found a record of Deborahs
christening, but if the assumption is made that the beneficiaries of the Parents
Wills are in chronological order of birth, then Deborah would have been born about 1642.
The clothes her mother left her would have been far too large for an eleven year old.
Again for convenience, I have copied the section of her mothers Will which relates
to her. Item I give
and bequeath unto my daughter Deborah, the next bigger pot and kettle, a pint stupnet,
six pairs of sheets, two pair of them end of the shelf under the window, half a dozen of
fine napkins and half a dozen of course, a short towel and a pair of plain pillow boards
with (blank space) on them and one other pair
with two Ds upon them, two pewter platters, two porringers, a basin, the
bed and bedstead, (blank space) big bolster
and blanket, bedstead in the further chamber, my serge petticoat, my green waistcoat, my
face cloth, my childbed sheets, the chest which is at her uncle Richards house, and
the chest in the chamber which hath no lock. A little box there, six great trenchers, my
little ring with a button on it. Marriage Place:
