Richard Henham was the Executor (his mother, Mary was Executrix) to his father, Richard's Will, proved 26th March 1700. With his four brothers he was left an equal share of the considerable land and property in East Peckham devised in the Will, details of which are included under 7xG Grandfather's notes.

Richard was baptised in St Michael's Church 26th February 1672. He was the second child to be born to Richard and Mary.

Richard married Catherine in middle age. He was about 48 when his first child was christened in 1720, whereas his bride was some 26 years younger, being about 22 years old. To date a record of the marriage has not been found.

All seven of his siblings predeceased him and he was a beneficiary in brothers, Thomas and John’s Wills.

From Thomas Henham's Will, made 9th July 1735 and proved 23 September 1735

Item I give and bequeath unto my brother Richard Henham, the sum of forty pounds of the like lawful money payable, by my Executor hereafter named, six months after my decease. Also I give and bequeath unto my brother Richard, over and above the forty pounds last bequeathed, my two horses which he hath of mine in work to be for the only proper life and service of him and his heirs.

From John Henham's Will, made 5th January 1736 and proved 1st June 1743.

Item I give and bequeath unto my three loving brothers, Iden Henham, Richard Henham and Gregory Henham, to each and every of them, the sum of forty pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain payable, by my Executor hereafter named, twelve months after my decease.

The burial record in the parish register refers to him as Richard (Mr) with the note 'senior' suggesting he was someone of some importance in the Parish. He was buried in the churchyard of St Michael's and the grave is marked with a M.I which reads:-
